I cannot choose ata emulation on bios with this chipset, but in my situatio= n=20 is not necessary as drives under my previously installed debian (using an o= ld=20 PATA drives that I have no more, and then moving to SATA drives) with 2.6.6= =20 are reported as /dev/sda and /dev/sdb, I remember when I had another=20 motherboard with sata-via chip and emulation on they where /dev/hde=20 and /dev/hdg. So I tried to rebuild the boot with kernel 2.6.6-1-386 and kernel-wedge but= I=20 went wrong somewhere...=20 I think that when 2.6.6-1-386 udebs will be accepted in debian-installer,=20 sata-sis will be discovered.
