I needed to blow away hda2 and create hda2/hda3 for root/swap. If there was a way to do it, it wasn't intuitive and the instructions were unhelpful (or parted would not allow it and nothing actually said that). Suggestion: allow a way (alternate partitioning step) to use the old fdisk/cfdisk in place of parted (sorry, but I find it a horrible, unusable piece of junk). Note: on a different low-memory installation, parted never came up -- at least, over an hour later (went to lunch while it was trying to pass 72%), it was still stuck. Installed using older net installer. Thanx David A. Bandel - -- Focus on the dream, not the competition.
