On Linux, this is sufficient, with foo being the user running the :0 display, on the host: - mount --bind /tmp/.X11-unix /home/foo/chroots/sid/tmp/.X11-unix - cp ~foo/.Xauthority /home/foo/chroots/sid/root in the chroot: - apt-get install x11-utils - DISPLAY=:0 xmessage mraw No need to mess around with xhost… > I might be missing something here, this used to be tricky.
