Package: libwraster2
Version: 0.80.0-4
Severity: important

I primarily use i386 wmaker from a 32-bit TrueColor X display that has
image byte order MSBFirst and rgb masks 0xff, 0xff00, 0xff0000.

When I upgraded from potato to woody, the first thing I noticed was
that window decorations and icons weren't grey, they were cyan. This
seems to be a symptom of image byte order confusion, and it occurs in
all libwraster2-using applications, such as synaptic and fsviewer.
Screenshot on request, but I suspect you've all seen this symptom
before.

Workaround: if you have an 8bpp visual, use it. Of course,
PseudoColor is...unattractive.

xdpyinfo output follows.

libwraster2 has been obsoleted by libwraster3 a long time ago. I'm
closing your bug in the hope that it doesn't apply to libwraster3 but
please correct me if I'm wrong.
