Providing the POT file in the source package helps out translators a lot,
even though this is a generated file (some maintainers/develoeprs are not
very keen to provide generated files in the source tarball).
Could you consider adding the ikiwiki.pot file to the source tarball (and,
of course, take care of providing it up-to-data....:-))?
I also suggest you call for new translations by using the nice
podebconf-report-po utility (even if designed for debconf stuff, it can be
used for any other kind of gettext-based translation work by just using its
"--podir" switch).
podebconf-report-po now has a "--call" switch which allows posting to
debian-i18n (by default), attaching a POT file to get new translations in.
