Package: blobwars
Version: 1.05-4
Severity: normal
The Easy difficulty setting is broken in many ways:
- The level descriptions contain information only relevant to Normal or
Hard difficulties (such as references to needing to collect dynamite
or destroying security points). The worst of this is referring to bits
of the story, e.g. battling Galdov, the ancient crystals, etc., that
really should be hidden from the player except when playing Normal or
Hard (at least, according to the Easy ending, the player shouldn't
know all of this except when playing Normal or Hard).
- Some levels can end in a stuck place: e.g. in Forgotten Caves, it is
possible to rescue the last required MIA (in the first time through)
in the cave with the green card. Upon restarting, the breakable walls
that block the entrance into the cave reappear, but the player only
has a pistol and has no way to get through the walls again. The only
recourse is to wait for an enemy to show up and drop a grenade
launcher---but since this is the Easy level, this can be a VERY long
wait since enemies don't show up frequently (on the order of 20
minutes in real time, or much longer if the enemies fail to drop a
grenade launcher).

So many bugs were closed in 1.05-6 thanks to Javier Serrano Polo, that I
forgot to mention some in the changelog!
