Package: xine
Version: 0.9.fake-1
Severity: normal
Hi Sigi,
maybe you know me :-)
I studied information science at the universtity of stuttgart.
(Spend some time with talking in the caferteria about routing...)
I have a xinerama-system (matrox G450DH vga-adapter) - if I try to
watch divx or mpeg-videos i have the following problems:
* Watching videos on the second screen is nor possible.
(the xine-window remains black)
* Watching videos on the first screen works, but at the
same time and at the same position of the second window there is
also a area where some single pictures of the running movie
are shown.
This area only vanishes if I move another over the area.
This problem seems to be very widespread problem on
video-applications.
I had the same problem with xawtv - but after updating to a newer
release the problem was solved.
I'm unsure if that is a compile or a programming-problem.
What do you think ?
Maybe you can,if the problem cannot be solved with a recompile,
submit this bug to the xine-developers.
For compile-tests i can check xine on my machine.
Regards
Marc Schöchlin

Anyway, this really seems to be a known limitation in the mga driver. I
someone really cares, please reopen&reassign it to the package
xserver-xorg-video-mga.
