Hello,
I was trying to play a .m4a file I generated with the FAAC encoder, but
I got this error:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gst-launch-ext-0.8 test.m4a
Running command-line
gst-launch-0.8 filesrc location="test.m4a" ! qtdemux .audio_00 ! { queue

Now, is there a reason for the absence of the FAAD plugin?
BTW, I downloaded the 'gstreamer-plugins-0.8.2' sources and there's a
LAME plugin, too, AFAIK is released under the LGPL license (as the LAME
library on which it's based). Will this plugin (and the LAME library)
available on Debian or are there some license problems?
Thx, bye,
Gismo / Luca

The faad plugin _is_ included with gst-plugins-bad0.10 nowadays so the
bug can be closed in all aspects IMHO.
