Package: debootstrap
Version: 0.1.17.33
Severity: wishlist

I want to create NFS-mountable root filesystems for a variety of
architectures we have around here. But debootstrap (the sensible way
to create such) doesn't work if the ARCH parameter doesn't match the
current architecture.

On I386:
   debootstrap --arch alpha woody /export/alhabox1
yields:
...
chroot: mount: Exec format error
W: Failure trying to run: chroot /export/alpharoot mount -t proc proc /proc
umount: /export/alpharoot/proc: not mounted
