Package: kvm
Version: 57+dfsg-2
Severity: important
For the record:
$ cat /proc/sys/kernel/tainted
0
System is running Lenny.
When trying to boot from Vista 64-bit dvd or Windows Server 2008 RC1
64-bit dvd, the kvm window displays "Windows is loading files" with a
progress bar but when it comes at the end kvm crashes.
I downloaded 60+dfsg-1 from the ftp archive but the effect is the same,
in fact, the register dump (I assume that's what it is) looks identical
to the values even.
Adding -no-acpi made no difference either.

I tried booting with 70+dfsg-1 (I'm reluctant to upgrade ATM, this one
has worked fine for me for a while now and I'm not sure what kernel
combination is required with the latest lenny kvm either) and the crash
is gone, I quickly get upto the GUI bits in Windows 2008 installation
that ask for language & keyboard etc.
Jan, about the other mail you sent -- neither modprobing kvm modules nor
running modinfo on them reveals their version. Any other way to find
out?
KR,
Filip
