Package: waproamd
Version: 0.6-4

Hi I've been having problems with the waproamd package
I'm using the latest acx100 kernel driver.

The problem has been that the wlan0 device isn't being started
by waproamd. If I run the daemon with the -n switch it tells
me that it the ifup command was failing.

So I modified the default script used for my ap
to just call ipup & ifdown directly. Now the NIC does come up
but waproamd gives me

>r...@laptop:~# waproamd -U -M -e -n
>waproamd 0.6 initializing, using NETLINK device monitoring.
>Interface set to status UP.
>Currently not associated, interface enabled.
>Initialization complete.
>Scanning...
>Scan results:
>1. Found AP xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx, ESSID 'myap', script: yes
>Scan completed with 1 suitable networks. (total: 1)
>Selected new AP xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx with ESSID 'myap'
>Running script '/etc/waproamd/scripts/essid:myap start'
>client: Setting policy 'wep'
>Script successfully executed.
>NLAPI: recv(): No buffer space available
>
>Shutdown
>Running script '/etc/waproamd/scripts/essid:myap stop'
>Script successfully executed.
>Exiting.
>r...@laptop:~#

ifup & ifdown for this device works fine

cheers

Jan.

The waproamd package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/509389 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
