Package: jabber-common
Severity: wishlist
Please give the jabber user his own group. Currently, jabber is in nogroup, so
files such as config files or certificates have to be owned by the jabber user
in order to keep their contents safe from other users on the system.
If the jabber user had a jabber group, then such sensitive files could owned by
root:jabber, mode 640; this would allow jabber to only read them, and deny
other users any access to the files at all.
