I have yet to try to look into whether this is repeatable, although I would
tend to assume not :-(

freshclam seems to have stopped logging before this, there was nothing
obviously special in it's logs prior to stopping.
I run MailScanner also, but I am fairly certain that is not attempting
to update clam.
my /etc/clamav is unchanged from the distibuted versions. I see an
onerrorexecute.d there that I should perhaps look into.
I note that I do not have the suggested: daemon package installed.

now. Assuming that you don't experience the problem anymore I just close the
