Hello, i have found a strange thing : the dead-circumflex "^" cannot be used
with french keyboard layout and fr_FR.UTF-8 locale : êîôû cannot be
typed in. If i deactivate scim (with command "XMODIFIERS= xterm" for
example), everything's fine so i think it should come from scim.
There is the same problem with dead-".

Florian,
thank you for reporting back. Based on your feedback, I will now close
this ticket.
English being the default may seem odd at first, but in this case there
really is no other sane default. None of Chinese, Japanese or any of
the other supported complex languages would be a sane default.
