Package: hobbit-client
Version: 4.2.0.dfsg-14lenny3

hello,

When I add
"directory /etc/hobbit/clientlaunch.d"

in the file /etc/hobbit/clientlaunch.cfg with a empty
/etc/hobbit/clientlaunch.d directory (no file in this directory)

/etc/init.d/hobbit-client (clientlaunch) cannot start and ends with this
log :

"
2009-11-05 16:43:48 hobbitlaunch starting
2009-11-05 16:43:48 Loading tasklist configuration from
/etc/hobbit/clientlaunch.cfg
2009-11-05 16:43:48 xfree: Trying to free a NULL pointer
"

When i add a foo.cfg file in the /etc/hobbit/clientlaunch.d directory it
run well.

Best regards,

Hi Damien,

thanks for the report. The issue issue is unreproducible with the
version currently in squeeze, so I am closing the bug there.

I would suggest that you don't use the "directory" statement at all
for /etc/hobbit/clientlaunch.d, but go with the

include /var/run/hobbit/clientlaunch-include.cfg

statement the Debian packages put there. The reason is that
"directory" will read all files in the directory, including backup
files, e.g. the .dpkg-old or .dpkg-dist files dpkg puts there, which
can lead to interesting effects.

The init script shipped manages the file in /var/run and makes sure
that only .cfg files get loaded.
