Package: puppet
Version: 0.24.7-2
Severity: wishlist
I'd like to see support for more types. Specifically, I'd like to be able to
write non-file rules in puppet that allow me to configure boot loaders (like
grub), inertnet supservers (like openbsd-inetd and xinetd), and firewalls
(like iptables).
Thanks,
Jayen

Hello, and thanks for reporting a bug in puppet.
Puppet has support for more types, either composite types written as
groups of normal types, or implemented in ruby code. Some of the
examples you give may also be done with the augeas type.
Patches are welcome, if you write some. I'll close this bug.
