package: epiphany-browser
severity: important
version: 2.29.5-1
as of the latest upload, which introduced a build dependency on
libgnome-keyring-dev, epiphany now pops up the keyring unlock dialog on
every start up. this is of course unnecessary and can be somewhat
disconcerting (my first thought was that something malicious had gotten
on my system and was looking for elevated privileges). thanks.

That must be because Xfce doesn’t start gnome-keyring-daemon.
This is not a bug. Either add gnome-keyring-daemon to your session, or
modify your keyring (in seahorse) to remove its password if you want to
store passwords in an insecure way.
