Package: evolution
Version: 2.0.3-1.2
Severity: normal
Fairly often (about once a day), while entering text into Evolution's
composer window, the program will suddenly start consuming more and more
memory until the system is brought to a halt. If I don't wait for more
than a few seconds then I can switch out of X and kill evolution to
rescue the situation; otherwise X input and output appear frozen and the
only solution is to reboot.
The problem sometimes occurs while typing, sometimes while pasting text
into the window using the middle mouse button.
The problem seems to occur more often when a hyperlink has been pasted
into the window at some point during the editing. (The hyperlink appears
as highlighted/colored text.)
Sometimes I am able to save the situation by clicking "File|Save Draft"
and "Close" quickly. I can reopen the draft and finish editing it.
However, while editing the draft there is a high probability that the
program will "blow up" again, especially if I type fast.
