Package: udev
Version: 0.070-3
Severity: normal
Hi,
I upgraded to 0.070-3 today, purged the hotplug package and converted
my blacklist file to modprobe.d.
After a reboot the touchpad of my laptop stopped working. The reason was
that the evdev module was not loaded by udev. After loading evdev with
modprobe the touchpad worked again.
The old hotplug package loaded evdev automatically. So the new udev
version should either behave as the old hotplug version and also load
evdev or it should be documented in README.Debian/NEWS.Debian that evdev
has to be loaded manually. My current workaround is to load evdev via
/etc/modules which works fine.
Thanks,
Michael
P.S.: coldplugging with 0.070-3 is way faster. Thanks for that!
