My wm being xfce4 (debian unstable install), after the initial configure

nothing happen:
# ps -ef | grep fire
jso 3358 1304 0 15:54 pts/3 00:00:00 gksu -g
/usr/sbin/firestarter

/usr/lib/libgksu1.2/gksu-run-helper "/usr/sbin/firestarter"
root 3366 3365 0 15:54 pts/15 00:00:00
/usr/lib/libgksu1.2/gksu-run-helper /usr/sbin/firestarter
# strace -p 3366

Fwiw, if I launch:
# /bin/su root -c /usr/lib/libgksu1.2/gksu-run-helper "/usr/sbin/firestarter"
the child process is also reading but here I type Ctrl-<Enter> and then
'firestarter' window appears as normaly?
Any idea?
Thanks in advance,
Joel
PS: Don't know if it matter but my user is in wheel group and pam config
