Package: parcimonie
Version: 0.7-1
Severity: important
File: /usr/bin/parcimonie-applet
I'm not sure exactly when I started noticing this, as watching applets isn't
my primary computer use, but it just started crashing on me one day.
Without the applet, I'm not sure how to know when parcimonie is actually doing
anything (does it have any form of log file?).
I finally had the thought to grep through my ~/.xsession-errors to figure out
why, and found:
Cannot reach the daemon's D-Bus service. Let' wait 1 seconds before retrying.
at /usr/share/perl5/App/Parcimonie/Applet.pm line 203.
Can't locate object method "set_tooltip" via package "Gtk3::StatusIcon" at
/usr/share/perl5/App/Parcimonie/Applet.pm line 295.
Can't locate object method "set_tooltip" via package "Gtk3::StatusIcon" at
/usr/share/perl5/App/Parcimonie/Applet.pm line 264.
When running it manually, it crashed when the "set_tooltipp" error was
displayed.
I'm using "startx" instead of a display manager, so some session settings may
not be what a modern desktop assumes is there...
live well,
vagrant
