When emacs21 is run in -nw mode in a terminal window or on a textmode
screen the background color "white" renders as light gray. The easiest way
to see this is to run the command list-colors-display. I have my default
face set to black on white which works great in X11 but now that emacs21
supports colors in terminal mode it sucks.
So, to summarize, when I say "white" I mean "white" and so should emacs.
