Package: hylafax-client

sendpage does not recognize the configuration value that is
supposed to regulate how many characters can be sent to an alpha
pager. It always complains if I send more than 128 characters.

I have put the following lines in hfaxd.conf, and then in
pager.conf:

MaxMsgLength: 240 # max pager message length
 and  then tried
pagerMaxMsgLength: 240 # max pager message length

Neither combination worked. I always get the following message:
-> .
550 Error, message too long; max 128 characters.
sendpage: 550 Error, message too long; max 128 characters.

What do I need to do in order to take advantage of alpha pagers
that accept 240 characters? It was not obvious to me when I
looked at the source code.

Thanks,
Bill Geddes  719-590-3556 ([email protected])
