When the savedefault command is present in a menu item,
I get
Error 6: Mismatched or corrupt version of stage1/stage2
If the savedefault command is removed, normal boot up occurs.
This is perhaps a bug in grub? In any case, the Debian script
update-grub appends savedefault on each menu item, which then causes
this error. Perhaps this should be removed until the grub problem is
resolved.
