The menu items to quickly enable/disable the proxy server configuration
(in addition to other proxy-related options) has disappeared.
Presumably Galeon 1.3.x wants to rely on some global Gnome2 proxy
configuration option. Even if so, this presents at least three problems:
(1) users may wish to have Galeon-specific settings, like they could
in Galeon 1.2.x; (2) the menu items were very convenient to people who
use a filtering proxy but occasionally want to temporarily bypass it;
(3) requiring users to use some Gnome2 desktop control requires them to
run more Gnome2 desktop tools, which they may not want to or may not be
able to (given how bloated it's become).

galeon was last released with Debian 6.0 (squeeze) in
February 2011 and removed from Debian sid/unstable in 2012 (see
http://bugs.debian.org/655053 for details on the removal). Since
support for squeeze and squeeze-LTS has now ended, I'm closing all the
remaining bugs reported against this package.
