--- Begin Message --- The new release 0.9.4b (currently in experimental) has a completetly new configuration system which basically obsoletes this bug. In particular, the LIRCD_CONF is neither supported nor mentioned in any relevant documentation, and hardware.conf is not used. Closing bug.
