Hi,
The "File Types and Programs" dialog in the Gnome Control Center seems to
ignore entries in /etc/mailcap. For example I have "gv" as my preferred
postscript viewer in /etc/mailcap, but Gnome defaults to using "GGV". Also,
some mime types, e.g. "application/x-dvi" don't appear at all in the control
center even though they are in /etc/mime.types and /etc/mailcap.
It would be nice if Gnome made use of these files since it would avoid having
to set all my mime preferences in two separate places (plus being able to edit
a simple text file for this sort of thing is much easier than fiddling with a
complicated GUI).
