After a security update of my kernel package
(kernel-image-2.6.8-12-em64t-p4-smp) the iptables command start to fail,
so after the weekend I got these big fail2ban log files

xuxa:/etc# du -s /var/log/fail2ban.log*
39392   /var/log/fail2ban.log
2360    /var/log/fail2ban.log.1.gz
4       /var/log/fail2ban.log.2.gz
4       /var/log/fail2ban.log.3.gz

Please, would you be so kind to include some kind of shelf-limitation,
and some kind of notification (sorry, I don't use the email ban
notification, so, although I has activate if some minutes ago, I don't
know if it covers this case).

All the bugs are believed to be fixed in the recent upload which was NMU
(sponsored) and stepped through 1 changelog entry, so didn't close the
bugs properly. Relevant changelog entries:
Bug 356112 supposed to be cloned and merged with forwarded to upstream locale 
bug
in case if you reply, please exclude [EMAIL PROTECTED] from
recepients
