Package: libfreetype6
Version: 2.2.1-1
Severity: normal
I use a LCD with subpixel antialiasing enabled.
The latest upgrade from 2.1.10-3 -> 2.2.1-1 decreased the quality
significantly.
I prepared two screenshots, before [1] and after [2].
Please also note that with 2.2.1 the fonts in the menu of Thunderbird
and Firefox look different.
Please revert the changes back to the state of 2.1.10-3.
Regards,
Michael

Thanks for the report. This regression was known prior to the upload of
2.2.1-1, but I opted to go ahead with the upload anyway due to the
release-critical bugs it fixed.
The 2.2.1-2 upload fixes this in any case; with many thanks to Keith for
that upload.
Cheers,
