Package: amavisd-new
Version: 2.3.3
Severity: minor

The included ldap schema in the latest Amavisd-new is not quite correct.
The orginal source contains a somewhat modified schema. I can understand
the confusion because the version of the schema is the same.

The MUST line -- see below -- is included in the original and not in the
debian package.

I have looked at the code, and given some thought to this matter.

IMO:
  1. The 'amavisAccount' objectclass must be useful for any ldap
configuration, that's why it is AUXILIARY
  2. This means it must cather to not using the 'mail' attribute

And also:
  3. Amavisd-new lets you configure the ldap filters used, so you
     need not to use 'mail'

Therefore, regardless of what the default search filter in amavisd-new is, I
consider that the current handling (no "MUST ( mail )") is correct and also
the best technical option, and I am closing this bug.
