Package: gnome-power-manager
Version: 2.24.4-3
Severity: normal
Maybe this is the same as 467633 except I'm using squeeze.
I have a Thinkpad X61. I will also try with the stock 2.6.30 kernel.
I'll attach the output of `gnome-power-manager --verbose` in a reply
but I did not find a --no-daemon option.
I set it to dim the display when idle under AC power.
Screensaver is set to "regard the computer as idle after"
1 minute. Power manager has put display to sleep when
inactive for 11 minutes. Screensaver never activates and
display never goes dim. "Dim display when idle" also has
no effect, the brightness never dims.
Mark
