Package: gnome-power-manager
Version: 2.24.4-3
Severity: normal

On this machine (an old Macbook Pro), both commands
"hibernate" and "hibernate-ram" can be used successfully (as root)
to hibernate/suspend the machine, but when I try to select either
"Suspend" or "Hibernate" from the power manager applet, all I get is the
screen-lock together with a little sound. No message of any kind that
might help figure out what's going on.
