Package: cheese
Version: 2.30.1-2
Severity: normal

I launched cheese via Applications > Sound & Video > Cheese Webcam Booth

A blank window appeared with the title bar of "Cheese", but nothing happened in
it.

When i clicked the window-manager-provided "x" in the corner of the
title bar, i get a dialog box that says:

===============
Cheese is not responding.

You may choose to wait a short while for it to continue or force the
application to quit entirely.
 [Force Quit] [Wait]
===============

Note that this machine has no video camera attached. Choosing "wait"
does nothing.

If i Force Quit, and then re-launch cheese, i get the expected "no"
symbol, with the warning label that says "No device found".

So it appears to be something about the first attempt to open Cheese on
a system with no video camera.
