Package: nautilus
Version: 3.18.0-2+b1
Severity: important
Attempting to open files with certain applications from within nautilus
fails to work (application does not load). I have noticed this while
attempting to open videos in vlc and with keepass files. The failure
occurs whether double clicking the file to load in the default program
(vlc), right clicking and selecting vlc at the top of the context menu,
or choosing vlc from 'open with other application' option. If selecting
totem however, things work just fine. Similarly, loading vlc separately
and opening a video file directly from file > open works absolutely
fine.
This is an up to date Debian Sid install, using Wayland from the login
prompt. Loading videos in vlc from nautlius under X11 works (at least
in a VM with a similar setup it did). Things worked perfectly with the
previous gnome 3.16 components under wayland.
