It was /not/ closed without comment. Admittedly the comment is only in the subject header of the mail to -done, but it provides the answer to all of your other questions. > So I looked at the general bug page > http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?archive=no&pkg=lusernet > >> From here, I cannot continue: > a) lusernet package page > http://packages.debian.org/lusernet > > Cannot find that package This is due to the fact that the package doesn't exist any more (c.f. earlier comment about the subject of the mail to -done). This is also the reason that the bug report you quoted says `Maintainer for lusernet is (unknown)'. Many of the gnustep packages were renamed to add `.app' to their names, including lusernet. Hence the subject of the mail to 289601-done: Subject: lusernet is no longer present and lusernet.app is fixed http://packages.debian.org/lusernet.app works fine, as does making the appropriate change in the PTS search and URL. The PTS should probably be fixed to cope better with no longer existing / renamed / merged source packages, but I'm not entirely sure what the best way to do that would be.
