Just to let you know I've had a look at some of test failures reported
at

http://perl.develop-help.com/?b=smoke-me/cpan61577

and possibly fixed them (there seemed to be a problem in the test
which duplicated one of the test results). Results should hopefully
appear at

at some point.

Assuming that the tests then start passing on Linux, we'll then be
in a position to judge how the patch performs across the range of
platforms supported by that smoking infrastructure, and review whether
any more changes (such as test skips) are needed before filing a bug
on rt.perl.org for review.
