$ xdg-open /home/user/file.html works fine $ xdg-open /home/user/mnt/home/user/file.html invokes a warning about an executable file. As this is a false positive, it is not really a security bug. The fuse file system was mounted at /home/user/mnt with $ sshfs server:/ /home/user/mnt The executable flags are not set on file.html on the mounted file system as well as on the original file system.
