Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal The version in testing and unstable is outdated and not very useful anymore. Today, bitbake is primarily distributed together with the Yocto recipe meta-data or used directly from a git clone.
As bitbake needs to be updated in sync with the meta-data, having a package in Debian (especially in a stable release) is no longer needed.
