Ah, it seems that the amttool-tng tool by Stanislav only provides the the "amttool" utility, but not the "amtterm" and "gamt" programs. This was not clear to me when reading your bugreport. I would like to ask a few questions to Stanislav directly. Unfortunately, I am not able to find his email address neither in the source code nor on the project site.
