I suppose it's possible that hardening flags were responsible for this,
but it seems more likely to be the compose/dead key backport. I'm
reluctant to revert this because it's so nice to finally have a compose
key; I'd rather move forward if possible ...
Any chance to look at this yet? I've had to put my putty on hold, as the
release in wheezy breaks for an important use case for my work.
