Hi,

Just an idea, but would Matthijs perhaps be willing to upload both of
the prepared packages;  the one with the backported fix into unstable,
and the new upstream release to experimental.

That takes care of the security issue for now, and allows some of us to
be testing (playing!) the new release, whether it is accepted in time
for release, or not.  I wonder if it might be a candidiate for a point
release otherwise.
