For what it’s worth, I asked because someone said possible behaviour bugs. I don’t see a single hint of that in your list. Maybe the one with chown 0:0 may be perceived as one, but you said it was never required, so that’s out too. Another thing is, I’m not totally closed to talking about making better alternatives, I brought up the idea of a debhelper-lite myself already. But not now. You’ve got a release to do, and I’d like the RC bugs in dash gone, for one, so that mksh can be used as /bin/sh without a manual “sudo ln -sf mksh-static /bin/sh”. Goswin made a proposal for it, even (no feedback from the bash maintainer on this at all). Or, just RoQA dash… what I should be trying to say (it’s obscenely late and I probably shouldn’t rant here but go to sleep) is, we all have other things to do, it does its job quite well and the people responsible for it do not have a problem with that. Good night, //mirabilos -- Support mksh as /bin/sh and RoQA dash NOW! ‣ src:bash (253 (273) bugs: 1 (2) RC, 176 (190) I&N, 76 (81) M&W, 0 F&P) ‣ src:dash (80 (93) bugs: 4 RC, 35 (39) I&N, 41 (50) M&W, 0 F&P) ‣ src:mksh (1 bug: 0 RC, 0 I&N, 1 M&W, 0 F&P) http://qa.debian.org/data/bts/graphs/d/dash.png is pretty red, innit? -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
