running icedove inside gdb makes it significantly slower and less
responsive. checking my mail is a critical part of my daily workflow,
so this is a pretty difficult task. it's a shame if this is the only
approach we can ask of people to help us debug :(
i've installed a bunch of other -dbg packages (e.g. libc6-dbg,
libnspr4-dbg, libnss3-dbg, ...), in the hopes that that will give me
more feedback in the next crash.
