Package: w3af-console Version: 1.0-rc3svn3489-1 Severity: important When installing w3af-console on a system having an installed python version >= 2.6, python-simplejson doesn't get installed. As a result the installation yields a non working w3af program, in order to make it work python-simplejson has to be pulled in too.
This is due to the fact that simplejson has been brought into stdlib in python 2.6 while changing its name at the same time from simplejson to json. w3af-console should either be patched to import json rather than simplejson or the dependency on python-simplejson should be declared without the (python >= 2.6) condition. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.7 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-pony6-3 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages w3af-console depends on: ii python 2.6.6-3+squeeze7 interactive high-level object-orie ii python-beautifulsoup 3.1.0.1-2 error-tolerant HTML parser for Pyt ii python-openssl 0.10-1 Python wrapper around the OpenSSL ii python-pypdf 1.12-3 PDF toolkit implemented solely in ii python-pysqlite2 2.6.0-1 Python interface to SQLite 3 ii python-soappy 0.12.0-4 SOAP Support for Python w3af-console recommends no packages. w3af-console suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
