netsniff-ng depends on package "libgeoip1" but not on "geoip-database", so a # ashunt -i eth0 -N -E -H netsniff-ng.org ashunt 0.5.7 Error Opening file /usr/share/GeoIP/GeoIP.dat Error Opening file /usr/share/GeoIP/GeoIPCity.dat Cannot open GeoIP database! Wrong path?! fails. After installing "geoip-database" the "city" is still missing, e. g. # flowtop Error Opening file /usr/share/GeoIP/GeoIPCity.dat Cannot open GeoIP database! It seems that there's a "GeoLite City" database available on http://dev.maxmind.com/geoip/geolite (License CC-SA). Could this be included in package "geoip-database" too? Thank you very much.
