Yes But I did not create a new bug as your first mail suggests. And the first part of the bug report do mention auto lo being the culprit...
Strange. Could you please run ifup -av or something to see what's going on? There shouldn't be any configuration required at all to get the loopback interface now.
I did. I removed once both line (auto lo and iface lo...), worked. and removed only the auto lo, and it worked also. I bet its because with 0.7.42, the parser was still wrong but, as I also have netplugd to managed eth0, it mounted the eth0 not via netplugd and not lo...
