Hello, I think that geeqie should preserve the mtime stamp of images,
when rotating them.
It should do that by passing the -p option to the exiftran invocation in
/usr/share/geeqie/applications/rotate-270.desktop
/usr/share/geeqie/applications/rotate-90.desktop

The attached patch should achieve this result.

Please note that this feature request of mine is similar, but not
exactly identical to bug #317765, which requests to preserve ctime
(assuming that ctime is really what the original bug report submitter
wanted to preserve...)

Please apply this patch and possibly also forward it upstream.
