Package: davfs2
Version: 1.4.7-2
Severity: normal

Beginning with 1.4.7-1.1 (wheezy), unmounting a davfs filesystem
returns immediately:

  $ umount /foo/dav
  $

The "waiting while mount.davfs (pid nnnn) synchronizes the cache"
message is not printed. Cache synchronization continues in the
background (during which time re-mounting fails). Is umount.davfs
not being called?
