Package: salt-minion Version: 0.16.3-1 Severity: normal
Since I refactored the init script for salt-minion to ensure that all processes were killed off, salt is no longer able to upgrade itself. Running: salt '*' pkg.install salt-minion will result in the minion (and the dpkg) process being killed part way through the upgrade and requiring manual interverntion. a work around is to run ensure at is installed and that salt has detected at: salt 'MINION' at.atq (this should return something about jobs rather than being unavailable) salt 'MINION' at.at now + 1 minute' "apt-get install -y salt-minion" Reverting the change from 0.16.1-1 [70573cb] Ensure all minion processes are killed when stopping/restarting has been tested to fix the problem. The upstream issue is https://github.com/saltstack/salt/issues/7151 I'll be preparing a new package and uploading.
