sakura doesn't show these problems. Interestingly a new user neither. But I couldn't figure out which config is involved. Removing ~/.config/xfce4/ didn't solve the problem and there is no ~/.Xdefaults file. And even more confusing, after changing a single setting in xfce4-terminal the problem also shows up with the new user. And it persists, even after removing ~/.config/xfce4/ and rebooting. So there must be another config involved that is created by xfce4-terminal. Any suggestions which file that could be? Does changing any setting lead to the same problem on your system? > Also, I wonder if the shell can be involved here. Can you tell us which > one you use? Both bash and dash show these symptoms.
